Linen and Chiffon Dresses for Summer

April’s outfit – dress: Forever 21 / bag: Nordstrom / sandals: J.Crew (old) cute option here / earrings: Kohls

Olivia’s outfit – romper: Target / shoes: Old Navy

Linen and chiffon is one of the most popular kind of fabric during the summer months because of  its lightweight feel. This particular off the shoulder dress that i’m wearing here is made of linen. It is a crossover between casual and dressy. It can definitely be  an everyday staple around warm summer days. My little girl’s romper is made of chiffon, it is more feminine, lightweight and dressier than linen but can also be casual. It just depend on the style and the prints. Lately, my mood for dressing up for these warm summer days is all about feminine and vintage styles. I’m drawn to summer garden looks, it just speaks to me more these days. Maybe because i’m getting older and/ or lazier, either way it doesn’t matter, i’m embracing the madam looks. I feel like it is easy to put together, simple, clean yet elegant and feminine. Those days are gone where i used to experiment different looks, where i tried to look sexy, hip or cool. As i get older and hopefully wiser, i think i have come to the point to be more accepting to myself and just be who i am. To not worry so much of what other people think but to be more focus on personal growth and improvement while keeping your feet on the ground and maintaining good relationships.

Thank you so much for reading and have a great day!
