    Chic Outfit for Thanksgiving Dinner

Oh Holidays! The busiest season but also the most fun. One of the fun things i love to do is dressing up for the holidays. Whether i’m hosting, dining out or attending parties. It feels great to look put together once in a while when socializing with friends and family. On Turkey day, i like to wear outfits that are chic, festive and most of all comfy.

Pants: Zara / bodysuit: ℅ Re/Done / bag: Gucci / coat: Topshop similar here / shoes: ℅ Banana Republic

For a festive Thanksgiving outfit, i like to take my inspiration from fall foliage. I love how my bodysuit from Re/Done compliments well with my mustard wide legs pants. The  pants makes me feel like i’m just wearing a pajama bottom while my bodysuit made it look chic. I love that it’s slender at top but flowy at the bottom. It’s a good balance for that amount of food you are going to gobble that day but still looking like you go it all together.

Thank you so much for reading and have a great day!

earrings: Swarovski / bracelet : Kate Spade

Since fall is already here, i love to talk about one my favorite topics and that is the must have dresses for fall. I’m partnering with Banana Republic in this campaign and i’m super excited because as a self-confessed girly girl i love wearing dresses. Even when the weather is a little chilly as long as it’s bearable, i wear a dress. I only wear jeans or pants during winter season. It’s because i’m super petite ( 5 ft) and i looked taller in dresses rather than jeans. Also dresses are easier to wear and to style. Everybody have their own preference and style of dressing, but that is just me. So today, i’m going to talk about my two favorite dress trend this fall.

3 Tips on How To Look Tall in a Chunky Cardigan

First and foremost let me squeeze  in a little introduction and share to you a little something about my love for fashion.

Why do I love fashion? For me it’s a form of art, it’s creating something out of nothing, out of what you already have into something. Styling outfits is not like a Pulitzer prize kind of thing but it’s still a form of art, an expression. Some of you will probably find me silly and think of it as a superficial thing. It is indeed, but for us people who loves and follow it aren’t necessarily. I don’t dressed up with high end brands from head to toe because I’m not rich. Most of all, my relationship with people and real friendships doesn’t rely on clothing either. I repurpose and redone my clothes many times because of my height and body type.

Simply put, Fashion is a way of expressing ourselves. It’s like people who expresses their love on video games,cars,collectibles,make-up,crafts,baking,videography,writing etc. It is just a matter of how passionate we are, what platform we express it or if we choose to express it. Also, through computers and internet there is  a rise of new jobs. You see a lot people right now working at home. In this day of age, we are given with so many options and it’s up to us on what direction to take.

    Now, Let’s talk about …..

How To Look Tall in a Chunky Cardigan if you are Petite

    1. Monotone outfit from top to bottom  – If you are 5 ft tall or less, chunky cardigan is truly not your best friend. But if you like the style and you want to pull it off , pick a dominant color from your cardigan and use that as a base color of your outfit.
    2.  Wear high heels –  This is pretty much self- explanatory, you always look tall in heels. But an extra tip, make it the same color as your outfit if you are wearing a chunky cardigan.  The ankle boots would define or emphasize my short legs if I was wearing a different color boots. It cuts the illusion of elongation.
    3. Less is more – When styling a chunky cardigan, you want to make it look sleek. It’s already bulky enough, you don’t need extra bulk, extra bling, it will look too busy. The cleaner it looks, the better.

Basically it’s all about illusions and angles. Let’s not waste our time wishing of what we couldn’t alter. It’s a god given gift, let’s work around on it and embrace it!

    Autumn Favorites

Hey guys ! It’s Saks off 5th friends and family sale! I really get excited when one of my favorite stores is having a major sale. I picked out a few of my favorites for this fall season. Right now, I have a major crush on that structured vest in olive green color.  I always love olive green for fall and winter because I like to add color on my winter wardrobe. I think I owned only one black coat and I rarely dressed all black. I also love the comeback of cropped collutes jeans, they look so cool and chic especially when it’s paired with mules. I am 4’11 , So we will see how it goes with that one. I have to try that style in the fitting room one day. I also have an eye candy on the Zac Zac Posen bag , It’s a beautiful guilt free everyday bag and it goes really  well with the olive green vest. For everyday bags, I don’t want to spend so much money on it  because I’m not good in taking care of my bags especially when tagging kids along with me, which is the case most of the time. I might end up watching more on my bag instead of my kids. So it’s better to buy a good and trusted brand with a good price.

This sale ends on Oct. 2 ! I’m almost at the end of the sale in posting this but I feel like I need to share this to you just in case if you are looking for good deals on your fall wardrobe essentials. So what do you think of my picks?
