Mommy and Me: Plaid Shirt and Parka Jacket

My outfit : parka jacket  / skirt / plaid shirt similar here / hat / boots similar here

Olivia’s outfit : plaid shirt / skirt / tights / boots / hat similar here /scarf similar here / jacket similar here

We are feeling the winter weather already in this side of town. So it’s time to wear those warm and comfy parka jackets that we pretty much live in it during winter time. I owned this parka jacket for two years already, this is going to be the third winter i’ll be wearing this jacket. I swear it’s my favorite, it’s comfy, warm and it fits perfect on my petite frame. It’s always a struggle for me when shopping for coats and jackets because of the fit and sizing. Well, this one fits on me like a glove and i don’t look super bulky in it which some parka and puffer jackets do. Because i’m petite it’s always a challenge to find the right parka jacket for me. So i’m so glad i found this!

On the other hand, Olivia’s puffer jacket is back in stock. I bought hers last year, i sized up at that time and now it fits just perfect. My favorite brands for coats and jackets for kids are Abercrombie kids and Gap kids. I love the quality, trendy styles and also affordable. I always buy their jacket around the Black Friday because that’s when they give super good deals on winter clothes. Their kids jackets are like mini versions of what you already have. So if you want to  coordinate jackets/coat with your minis go to these stores.

Now, let’s talk about plaid shirts. They are very popular around this time of the year especially around the holidays. I can’t blame you, i’m obsessed with plaid and tartan prints myself. It’s festive and very versatile to style. I love that you can make it look preppy and then edgy the next day. It’s such a playful piece to own, also it’s comfy and easy to wear.
