Our Kings Island Adventure

*This post is sponsored by Kings Island, all opinions  and photos are mine.

Last week, we have the opportunity to visit Kings Island amusement park in Kings Island, Ohio. We are from Michigan, so it’s about 4 1/2 hours drive all the way there from our house. We stayed at this nice contemporary family friendly hotel that is not far from the amusement park ( i will make a separate post for that). Then we went to Kings Island the next day. It was during the weekday when we went, so it wasn’t that crowded but i highly recommend a two day ticket, it’s a better value for the 2nd day. Plus you can totally utilize the rides and water park as many as you can for two days. Here is the ticket information. I also highly recommend getting the Souvenir Bottle and All Day Dining , with a 4 years old and 9 years old who is in a growth spurt, it’s always good to be prepared. You are not allowed to bring food and beverages there so an All Day Dining is the better option. I can’t believe how many times we refilled that bottle of beverages, it was super hot that day and knowing we will be there all day till night, it’s definitely worth it.

Kings Island have a lot of rides for people of all ages. They have Kids Rides, perfect for toddlers and pre-schoolers. Our favorite are the Family Rides because we could all go together, except the ones that require a much more height requirement for my 4 years old. My hubby and my 9 years old son went to some of the Trill Rides and Coasters. They had a blast, ofcourse.  They’re both adrenaline junkies, so it’s a perfect father and son bonding.

Kings Island have a Peanuts theme, the place is decorated with Peanut characters and there are Peanut mascots by the entrance and by the kids rides. Ever since my kids saw the Peanuts movie, they love everything about it and their favorites are Charlie Brown and Snoopy.

Since we are doing everything in one day, we brought our swimsuits, towels and sunscreens with us for Soak City. It is a huge waterpark, where there are tons of slides and attractions for everyone. We had an amazing time here !

My husband and son went to the big slides, while me and my daughter went to the Splash Landing it’s perfect for little kids. We all went together as a family at the Splash River. It’s a lazy river where you can enjoy and relax but don’t get too comfortable because there are water cannons and water spray that could make things crazy. It is our favorite actually, we even went in it twice . Another family favorite is Breakers Bay – a wave pool, my son loves playing with the waves. He can be there all day, that’s how obsessed he is. Another favorite is the Aruba Tuba– i was able to go slide with my 4 years old daughter  using a 2 pint size body slide.

The waterpark closes at 8 pm everyday except Fridays, that’s when they do The Soak City Dive-in Movies – you can just chill and relax in your inter tube while watching a movie. It’s pretty cool. Check out their Events , they always have something special.

Even at night time, the fun and party is still on full mode. They have shows and fireworks display every night. Check out their show schedule. Usually they do the live-band show first and then the fireworks display after. So halfway when the live band show is over, we went to the Eiffel Tower and watched the fireworks  from there. It’s pretty cool and amazing when your eye level with the fireworks. It’s insane! The Eiffel Tower by the way is a scale replica of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. It’s only 1/3 of the height compared to the one in Paris. It was insanely high, so i can just imagine the one in Paris!

Don’t we all looked tired? Yes we were, but so happy! The smile on their faces makes my heart full. We definitely opened and closed the park that day.  So as soon as we got in the car, both kids were out like a light bulb in like 5 minutes. It was the best day ever !

Thank you Kings Island !

Thank you so much for reading and have a great day!
