Repurposing items of any sort is a great idea. First, you don’t have to spend a lot of money. Second, it is sustainable to the environment. Third, being able to create something gives you an empowering feeling.

As a petite person, repurposing long tops into dresses is not new to me and I do  that quite often. But, it also is kind of tricky to style because they are meant to be a top rather than a dress. All of us have different body types, so you just have to trust your judgement if a long top is good enough to be a dress. As a case in point, this “dress” that I’m wearing is not a real dress. It is a tunic top that is long enough to be worn as a dress. I have worn this as a top here.

Another great thing about repurposing is, it’s  a good exercise to your creativity because it requires you to use your good imagination. It could be a clothing , a decor or a furniture….anything that you think  that can serve a new purpose. It gives a great feeling that can make you smile. We all know that money doesn’t buy happiness all the time, but repurposing will make you happy for sure.
